Julie Setele is the writer behind Jujubeees Zines and a professional nerd who can most often be found under a pile of cats. Excessively educated, Julie earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology and women’s studies from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio; a master’s and a doctoral degree in sociology (with a designated emphasis in feminist theory and research) from the University of California, Davis; and a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
Julie is a former sociologist, current librarian, and occasional zinester. They write zines about women’s soccer, romance novels, Octavia E. Butler, Ani DiFranco, abortion, feeling words, and Medusa.
