About
Rae White is a queer non-binary transgender writer, and the author of poetry collections Milk Teeth (UQP 2018) and Exactly As I Am (UQP 2022). They were awarded the Arts Queensland Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize in 2017 and have been shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards, Queensland Literary Awards, and Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards.
Rae is also the Creative Director and Founder of community poetry initiative Uplift Poetry, and the Founding Editor of #EnbyLife, a journal for non-binary and gender diverse creatives.
Rae’s zines explore themes of identity and queerness, and include poetry zines, reflections on rejection, dystopian worlds, queer experiences, and whimsical works featuring cats, plants, and succulents.
